No, schools and local authorities are free to decide on their own policies relating to the use of such images or the release of associated information for their own publicity purposes. We do, however, advise that photographs and video images of pupils and staff are classed as personal data under the termsof the Data Protection Act 1998. Therefore using such images for school publicity purposes will require the consent of either the individual concerned or in the case of pupils, their legal guardians.
Welcome to Bamburgh Class page.
 
Our Autumn Term topic is the Ancient Greeks. We will be learning about the geography of Greece and researching the impact of ancient Greek society on our lives today . Throughout this topic, we will be using the atlas and the computer to help aid our knowledge and understanding.
 
Our class text for this term is The Butterfly Lion by Michael Morpurgo. Using this text, we will be completing writing tasks in a range of genres.
 
Our science topic is Light. We will be learning about how we see things, how light travels and how this creates shadows and reflections. We will complete investigations to help aid knowledge and understanding.
 
Homework
On Tuesdays, punctuation and grammar homework will be set to be returned and checked in class the following Tuesday.
 
Maths homework will be set on a Wednesday to be handed in the following Wednesday. We will be marking this homework and making corrections together to improve our skills.
 
Spellings will be set on a Friday, to be learnt for the following Friday. A spelling test will take place every Friday morning. Reading comprehension will also be set on a Friday to be completed and handed in the following Friday. We will mark this together in class to help children gain a deeper understanding. Reading records must also be completed and brought in to school on a Friday to be checked by Miss Crammond. Children should be reading everyday but should be completing their reading record a minimum of twice a week.
  
 
PE
Bamburgh Class will have PE on a Thursday morning
In the summer term, Mrs Watkins will also be teaching a PE session on Monday morning.
Children will need their PE kits on a Thursday and on a Monday (summer term).
 
 
We will add photographs to our class page showing some of the excellent activities which take place in our classroom.
