School Ethos

At St Wilfrid’s Catholic Primary School, we are a community of learners inspired by the Gospel Values of Jesus. We ensure that everyone is valued and respected as unique, special and gifted individuals.

Encouraging pupils to succeed at all levels, developing confident, independent learners, we promote creativity and curiosity in the belief that everyone has the capacity to achieve great things.

All are fully committed to the Mission Statement and promote the development, understanding and living out of our Gospel values.

As part of God’s family, we at St Wilfrid’s believe that the Light of Christ is present in each and every one of us. It is because of this we recognise, respect and celebrate that we are all special.

Learning with each other, serving each other and loving each other in a Christ-centred community.

There is a strong belief that we can make a difference to our children’s lives.

Our Catholic mission underpins all school life and is the driving force behind our desire to improve outcomes for all of our children. We also endeavour to build caring and supportive partnerships between school, home, parish and the wider community, strengthening an atmosphere of trust, friendship and respect.
