Mitford (Miss Richards Reception)

Welcome to Mitford Class Page.

Welcome to Reception!

Our topic this term is 'Dinosaurs'

PE is on a Monday and a Friday, if you haven't already, please send in a PE kit for your child to keep at school. Please ensure this is clearly labelled. Can you please encourage your child to dress and undress independently this will be a great help to us during PE and for forest school.

P.E kits are needed on Monday and Fridays.

We will be visiting the forest school on site every Thursday afternoon. We have some waterproof suits and wellies at school but if you would like to send some into school for your child this would be great. Please send these in a named carrier bag.

All children should now have a reading book. Please let us know how you feel your child is getting on by writing a comment in your child's reading record. Can you please make sure reading books are kept in your child's bag so we can read at school aswell.

Please send in your child's blue book bag to school every day and check it every night.

Thank you

Miss Richards and Mr Alderson

We are always trying to improve our outdoor area and appeal to all children's interests. We welcome any donations if you have any bikes, scooters, old kitchen utensils or outdoor equipment you no longer use at home. We would appreciate any donations. Thank you

We have been learning how to write words with our new phonics scheme sounds-write.
We made soup today using some ingredients we had grown in our vegetable garden. We used the peelers and knives very carefully to peel and cut the vegetables before putting them into the soup maker. We enjoyed eating the soup around the fire circle in forest school.
Spooky science day.
We love visiting Forest school every Thursday afternoon.
We follow advice from the DfE and all photograph subjects have signed permission.
